Commander (retired) SIR Charles Worthington Craven, O.B.E. (10 May, 1884 – 18 November, 1944) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Whalley Range, Manchester.
Craven was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 November, 1904.
Craven was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 November, 1912 and was placed on the Retired List the following day at his own request, eligible to apply for a step in rank at age 40.
Craven was promoted to the rank of Commander on 10 May, 1924.
