Lieutenant-Commander Charles Pleydell Mansel (7 February, 1873 – 26 March, 1915) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Mansel was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in June, 1895.

Mansel was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1903.[1]

Mansel was appointed as 1st officer in armed merchant cruiser Celtic in on 31 October, 1914 and died at sea, 300km south of Togo, of a nervous breakdown.
