Rear-Admiral Charles Otway Alexander, (1 January, 1888 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Newark.

Alexander was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1908.

Alexander was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1916.

Alexander was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1919.

Alexander was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1927.

Alexander was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 10 January, 1939 and was placed on the Retired List the following day.

He commanded the Torpoint shore establishment H.M.S. Raleigh from 31 October, 1939 to 20 March, 1944, in the rank of Commodore, Second Class.
