Charles La Primaudaye Lewin

Rear-Admiral (retired) Charles La Primaudaye Lewin (24 August, 1874 – 14 September, 1952) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career
Lewin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1896.
Lewin was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1908.[1]
On loan to the Australian Government, Lewin was appointed in command of the second class protected cruiser Encounter on 28 January, 1914.[2]
He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1914.[3]
Post-War
Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 4 July, 1922, Lewin was granted permission to proceed to Australia and was subsequently promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 24 November, 1925.
