Forty-five naval cadets and nine navigating cadets of ninety-nine candidates of the August testing were accepted, in the following order of merit.[1]

I'm apparently having trouble precisely identifying eight men in the list below, whose names are given simply as offered in the article in The Times. Their apparent absence in The Navy List of June, 1875 imples that they lasted a short time in the service.

From September 1903 entries were also made to the Royal Naval College, Osborne under the Selborne Scheme. The Britannia was closed in July 1905 after the May entry, which was sent to Bermuda with the January entry. The following two terms under the old scheme were sent straight to the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.
