Rear-Admiral Burges Watson, C.V.O., Royal Navy (24 September, 1846 – 21 September, 1902) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Watson was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1885.[1]

He commanded the battleship Repulse for two years starting from October 1893.[2] He was the first commander of her new sister, Royal Oak, from January to November of 1896.[3]

On the occasion of the Queen's visit to Cherbourg he was appointed a Companion in the Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) on 9 May, 1899.[4] He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral with seniority of 25 August.[5]
