Basil Hew Fanshawe ( – ) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Life & Career

On 30 June 1910, Fanshawe was promoted to Captain

He was appointed in command of the first class protected cruiser Royal Arthur in October 1911.

He was appointed in command of the light cruiser Bristol on 3 January, 1913.[1]

He assumed command of the armoured cruiser Sutlej in February of 1916.
