Captain Arthur Thomas Stuart, Royal Navy (12 April, 1856 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Stuart was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1879[1]

Stuart was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1894.[2]

Stuart was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1901.[3]

Stuart was appointed in command of the first class protected cruiser Terrible on 3 January, 1905. On 4 May, he was appointed in command of Triumph. However, his stay in her was short, as on 22 May, 1905 he was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Donegal. On 24 October, 1905 he was appointed as captain of Devonshire, pending her completion.[4]

He was appointed in command of the battleship Dominion in May, 1907.
