Captain Arthur Jermyn Landon (4 August, 1883 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Landon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1905.[1]

Landon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1913.[2]

Great War

Landon had been appointed in command of Widgeon on the China Station on 15 January, 1914. On 16 November, 1914, he was ordered home and left Widgeon. An appointment to join Conqueror dated 3 February 1915 was cancelled. He idled at Portsmouth for a month and was appointed to Swiftsure, additional, for special service.[3]

Landon was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1917.[4]

Landon was appointed in command of the destroyer Trident on 29 May, 1918.[5]

Post-War

Landon was appointed in command of the destroyer Vanquisher on 17 November, 1920.[6]

Landon was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1925.[7]

In March, 1927, Landon was appointed in command of the light cruiser Ceres.
