Rear-Admiral (retired) Arthur Hale Smith-Dorrien, R.N. (23 May, 1856 – 6 June, 1933) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

An able drawer and painter, Smith-Dorrien was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 6 November, 1879.

Smith-Dorrien was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1893.

Smith-Dorrien was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1900.

Smith-Dorrien was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 22 January, 1904 and promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 12 March, 1909.
