Lieutenant Arthur Guy Smith, R.N. (10 July, 1891 – 1 November, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Cdr. Charles V. Smith, R.N., retired.

Smith was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 15 July, 1912.

After serving in Mutine and being loaned to Research to work with the Hydrographic Department, Smith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1914. He was appointed to the armoured cruiser Good Hope on 17 August, 1914. He died aboard her when she was lost at the Battle of Coronel on 1 November, 1914.
