Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. Alfred Sinclair Chetwynd Bird, R.D. (15 January, 1888 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.
He was sometimes listed as Alfred Sinclair Bird, as he adopted the additional name of Chetwynd only in 1917.

Life & Career
Bird was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 January, 1916.[1]
On 18 December, 1916 Bird left H.M.S. Excellent to take up a one month appointment as gunnery officer in Swift, where he also took up the role of executive officer.
Bird was appointed in command of the destroyer Vigilant on 5 February, 1917.[2]
Post-War
Demobilised 16 January, 1919.
Bird was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 1 January, 1924.[3]
Placed on Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 16 June 1931.[4]
