Alfred Reep

Lieutenant-Commander (retired) Alfred Reep, R.N. (13 January, 1870 – 24 October, 1950) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Reep was made a Gunner on 16 March, 1894.

Reep was made a Chief Gunner on 28 October, 1911.[1]

He was appointed Chief Gunner in Command of the destroyer Opossum on 26 March, 1913.[2]

Reep was made a Lieutenant on 1 May, 1916.[3]

Reep was appointed Lieutenant in Command of the torpedo boats T.B. 043 and T.B. 044 on 7 August, 1916,[4][5] though his service record does not mention T.B. 043.

Reep was appointed in command of H.M.S. Flintshire from 13 March 1922 until he was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 2 July, 1922. He was later promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 1 May, 1926.
