Admiral Alfred John Chatfield, C.B., Royal Navy, Retired (27 August, 1831 – 25 August, 1910) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Chatfield was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1886.[1]

In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 22 February, 1870, Chatfield was placed on the Retired List on 27 August, 1891.[2] He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 23 August, 1897.[3]

He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 10 September, 1891.[4]
