Lieutenant-Commander Alexander Neville Lubbock, R.N. (2 November, 1883 – 28 April, 1918) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Lubbock was involved in excessive wine accounts aboard Proserpine in 1904.
Lubbock was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1905.
Lubbock was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1913.
Upon the outbreak of war, Lubbock was appointed briefly to Good Hope to assist in minesweeping, and her perhaps took passage to Bermuda. On 9 October 1914, he was appointed to the destroyer Exmouth, where he remained until he was appointed to the armoured cruiser H.M.S. Donegal on 29 September, 1917. He went missing on 28 April, 1918 while taking passage to Donegal aboard the steamship Oronsa. The presumption that he was dead from that date was only declared on 5 April, 1919.
