Vice-Admiral Alan Cameron Bruce, C.B., D.S.O., Royal Navy, Retired (19 January, 1873 – 20 August, 1947) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

On 27 January, 1914, Bruce commissioned the scout Patrol and took command of the Ninth Destroyer Flotilla.[1]

Bruce was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 7 October, 1923, vice Phillpotts. He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 8 October.[2] He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 6 April, 1928.[3]

Bruce died "peacefully" at Sunnybrae, Moffat on 20 August, 1947.[4]
