Commander (retired) Adam Ferguson (21 February, 1891 – 6 June, 1949) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Ferguson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 April, 1914.
During his time in command of Amazon, Ferguson was tried by Court Martial on 6 March 1918 for allowing three T.B.Ds. which he had challenged and which had not replied to proceed and for "neglect of duty in omitting to use the VBS Signal in accordance with instructions contained in Keymemo No. 8A - C.B. 01366". Both charges were proved and Ferguson was severely reprimanded. Vice-Admiral, Dover Patrol Keyes replied that he found this sentence too lenient. Ferguson was replaced in command of his destroyer and sent to Arrogant temporarily, additional.[1]
