Richard Markham Tyringham Stephens

Captain (retired) Richard Markham Tyringham Stephens, C.M.G. (13 November, 1875 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Tyringham, Stephens listed his mother as his guardian upon joining the service.[1]

Stephens was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 14 September, 1896.[2]

Stephens was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 14 September, 1904.[3]

Stephens was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 6 June, 1912 and was promoted to the rank of Commander on 13 November, 1915.[4]

Stephens was promoted to the rank of Captain on 13 November, 1920.[5]
