John William Ashley Waller

Vice-Admiral (retired) John William Ashley Waller, C.B., R.N. (17 January, 1892 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Waller was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 February, 1913.

Waller was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 28 February, 1921.

Waller was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1926.

Waller was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1934.

Waller was appointed in command of the battleship Malaya in March, 1942.

Waller was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 July, 1943.

Waller was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Vice-Admiral on 3 May, 1947.
