John Francis Bowyer

Lieutenant-Commander (emergency) John Francis Bowyer (11 January, 1893 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Lieutenant Colonel N. J. Bowyer, late of the Royal Engineers.

Acting Sub-Lieutenant on 15 September, 1912.[1]

Resigned 9 December, 1913 and placed on the Emergency List on 31 December.

Bowyer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on the Emergency List on 15 January, 1915.

Bowyer was appointed in command of the destroyer Nonsuch on 14 June, 1918.[2]

Bowyer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on the Emergency List on 15 January, 1923.
