James Olden Hatcher

Captain (retired) James Olden Hatcher, D.S.O. (30 April, 1867 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Hatcher was granted the probationary rank of Lieutenant upon transferring into the R.N. on 31 October, 1895.

Hatcher was placed on the Retired List at his own request and allowed to accept an appointment as Assistant Secretary to the Liverpool Salvage Association and promoted to the rank of Commander on 12 November, 1907.

He reverted to the Retired List on 4 July 1919.

Hatcher was later promoted to the rank of Captain in recognition of war service with seniority of 11 November, 1918.
