From The Dreadnought Project
Jump to: navigation, search

The Dreadnought Project is a well-sourced Wiki, like Wikipedia, but it is different than Wikipedia in a number of ways.

Controlled Editing

We have only a handful of approved editors. Two (Simon Harley and Tony Lovell) do most of the work. We would like to involve more people without surrendering a tight overall editorial vision. If you feel your skills can augment our own, please contact us by email, as "simon" or "tone" @ this domain name or by using the link atop the main page. If you find errors, please let us know by the same channels.

Editorial Voice

We feel it is important to state conclusions plainly when we feel swayed by the facts, even if there is no consensus on the matter. We do try to indicate when we are making leaps of faith, but sometimes we trust that editorial language makes the opinionated nature of such sections clear.

Original Research

Original research based on primary sources is forbidden by Wikipedia, but we feel this an important point if one is to make content that matters, especially when the subject is technical or one where opinion has long been shaped by a few sources.
