Harry Dampier Law

Commander (retired) Harry Dampier Law, R.N. (3 December, 1850 – 20 October, 1917) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Law was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1875.

Law was appointed in command of Durham (formerly Active) on 1 September, 1894.

Law was placed on the Retired List on account of age with the rank of Commander on 3 December, 1895, but he was not superseded in command of Durham until 1 January, 1896.
