H.M. T.B. 9 was one of 36 first-class torpedo boats of the Cricket class.

Originally named H.M.S. Grasshopper, her name was changed to Torpedo Boat No. 9 in 1907.

Service

T.B. 9 was lost in a collision with the destroyer Matchless in the North Sea, and her commander was commended for his conduct in the aftermath.[7] Matchless also hit Manly in the same incident.
