H.M.S. Wryneck was one of twenty-one "W" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1917-18.

Service

Wryneck was re-commissioned at Chatham on 6 June, 1924 for service with the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[9]

Re-commissioned at the Nore on 25 January, 1927 for service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[10]

Completed to full complement on 11 June, 1929 for service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[11]

She commissioned in Reserve at The Nore on 14 December, 1932.[12]
