As part of the Channel Fleet, Skirmisher started a refit in Devonport in August 1908, after Battle Practice.[9]

Skirmisher re-commissioned at Chatham on 1 July, 1913 for manoeuvres, destined for Seventh Destroyer Flotilla afterward.[10]
