Service

A second-class torpedo boat attached to Rodney foundered near Gibraltar or in the Mediterranean on 15 November 1893 after capsizing while turning at high speed. She was raised the following day and made fast to the battleship's davits. A stoker who had died in the accident was found within the stokehold, with both arms dislocated.[6]

Radio

In 1901, though three sisters were listed as having or slated to receive W/T kits, she is not mentioned.[7]
