H.M.S. Linnet was one of twenty-two destroyers of the Laforey class.

Service

Linnet was assigned to the Third Destroyer Flotilla from at least Juyly, 1914, if not earlier.

Linnet was assigned to the Ninth Destroyer Flotilla from October, 1915 through April, 1917.

Linnet was assigned to the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla from around April to May 1917.

Linnet was part of the First Destroyer Flotilla from May 1917 to at least February 1918.

Linnet arrived at Sheerness on 6 July 1919[6] and departed two days later for Devonport.[7] Navy Lists seem to indicate she had no proper officers assigned to her during this period.
