Service

Commander Charles George Ley Woollcombe, served as her gunnery officer from 1916-1919.

By late 1920, she was a turret drill ship at Devonport.[7]

Paid off to Dockyard Control at Rosyth on 14 February, 1924.[8]

Completed to Full Complement at Devonport on 24 February, 1930 for service in the Mediterranean with no fewer than eight Fleet Air Arm flights embarked under a headquarters unit.[9]

By the beginning of 1933, she was down to six flights and the headquarters, totalling 22 pilots.[10]

In June of 1933, her bell was one of about 100 surplus bells announced as being for sale at prices ranging from £1 to £10. Preference would be given to those offers from men with a special consideration in the bell in question.[11]

She was reduced to special complement at Devonport on 26 May, 1934 and had no aircrew assigned.[12]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 23 July, 1935 for service in the Mediterranean.[13]

Alterations

Her secondary battery directors were installed in November, 1916, prior to her commissioning.[14]
