In the Battle of Jutland, she was flagship of the Fourth Light Cruiser Squadron, screening the Battle Fleet.[7]

Calliope re-commissioned at Chatham on 19 May, 1924.[8]

Searchlights

Calliope served as a test platform for Newitt's Searchlight Control in 1915.[9]

Alterations

Calliope was fitted with a director in March, 1918. This alteration required her pole mast to be replaced with a tripod mast for greater rigidity.[10]

At some point likely after the end of the war, she received a Dreyer Turret Control Table in her T.S..[11]
