H.M.S. C 19 was one of thirty-eight "C" class coastal submarines completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

In September 1909, the submarine was being readied for service, expected to join "Section VII Flotilla", initially under the command of Lieutenant Henry John Hearn.[5]
