Life & Career
Born in London.
Stephenson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1900.
Stephenson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1912.
Stephenson was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1917.
Stephenson was appointed in command of the battleship Revenge in May, 1923.
Stephenson was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 20 May, 1929 and was placed on the Retired List the following day. He was subsequently promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral (retired) on 11 February, 1934.
