Order of the Bath

The Most Honourable Order of the Bath (until 1847, the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath) is a British order of chivalry founded in 1725.

It has Military and Civil divisions, each with three classes, listed here in descending order of seniority:

  • Knight Grand Cross (G.C.B.)
  • Knight Commander (K.C.B.)
  • Companion (C.B.)
