Charles Tiedemann Gervers

Commander (retired) Charles Tiedemann Gervers, D.S.O. (10 May, 1876 – 4 June, 1927) served in the Royal Navy. His son, Ronald Charles Gervers, also served in navy.

Life & Career

Gervers was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1898, but had to retire due to poor health five months later.[1]

Gervers was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 31 December, 1906.

Gervers was promoted to the rank of Commander on the Retired List in recognition of wartime service dated 11 November, 1918.

He died of pneumonia.[2]
