Charles Edward Lynes

Paymaster Rear-Admiral Charles Edward Lynes, C.M.G., Royal Navy (26 August, 1875 – 1977) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Lynes was born on 26 August, 1875 at 9 Priory Road, Coventry. He was educated at King Edward VIII School, Coventry from September, 1885 to Christmas, 1892. From January to June of 1893 he attended the "crammer" of Mr. Arnett at Grove Park, London and passed first in order of merit the entrance examination for the Paymaster Branch of the Royal Navy and appointed to date 15 July, 1893.

Lynes died aged 101 in early 1977.
