Commander (retired) Basil Edward Maynard Waters, R.N. (12 January, 1875 – 22 March, 1933) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Southampton.

Waters was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1897.

Waters was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1905. He was placed on the Retired List at his own request, dated 3 January, 1906.

Waters was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 12 January, 1915. He was appointed, from 16 March to 11 September 1915 for work with Portsmouth's extended defences.
