The Royal Navy's Annual Manoeuvres of 1887 were outlined in The Times on 20 July.[1] The naval exercises were preceded by a Jubilee Review. I am so far unable to locate a comprehensive article outlining command appointments for the affair.

Order of Battle

On 23 July, the Fleet was divided into A, B and C cruising squadrons likely the same as above.[2]TODO: much more

A squadron consisted of:[3] Minotaur, Agincourt, Sultan, Monarch, Iron Duke, Conqueror, Collingwood, Inflexible, Black Prince, Imperieuse, Mercury, Archer, Rattlesnake and Curlew.

B Squadron: Hercules, Edinburgh, Invincible, Rupert, Hotspur, Neptune, Devastation, Ajax, Shannon, Belleisle, Mersey, Amphion, Fearless and Swift.

C Squadron: Inconstant, Arethusa, Active, Volage, Rover and Calypso.
