Are there any good sources for what attempts were made by the RN as to what battships & battlecruisers they tried to sell and to what countries before they were scrapped under the naval treaties?
Any help would be most appreciated.

I think a good place to ask for this might be the MARHST-L mailing list. You might find a reference to that on my sources page. I wish that were a BBS and not a mailing list (mailing lists are just fundamentally wrong! unsearchable for the most part and they clutter up your inbox and disk drives)
