Wooah! Thanks a lot.

Though I am not a big fan of American ships, I am still very happy to have them into my collection. Big hug.

Hi,

I just tried the link http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/images/s-file/?M=D but it's not working anymore. Is there another way to get the plans ??

Regards

JohnMGD.

The plans seem to have been archived by the "Wayback Machine" (brilliant thing the Wayback Machine, always worth checking when a link has gone missing in action). You can try this direct link:

http://web.archive.org/web/20050427070225/http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/images/s-file/?M=D

I would suggest clicking on the .htm files which seem to link to the full size images.

Doubtless the plans are still on the US Navy's history site (probably accessible by ship name?)

Edit: Here I think is the current actual link to the plans:

http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/albums/s511.htm

This Iowa based carrier makes for a pretty interesting what-if...

Sorry for the late response, but thanks for the drawing links.
